KMDC’s first Girl Group K-pop Cover Project of 2026 will officially begin this May.

This project will feature *“THAT’S A NO NO” by ITZY*,
directed and taught by Mac.

This is not just a class where you simply learn choreography.
It is a project-based class where we will build the piece together step by step — from learning the full choreography, to formations, details, team practice, runthroughs, and finally the filming day.

*“THAT’S A NO NO”* is a song full of confidence, attitude, energy, and strong girl group performance quality.

It is a perfect piece for those who want to experience not only the choreography itself, but also the power of team performance, cleaner formations, stronger details, and the excitement of creating something more complete together.

Throughout this project, you will have the chance to go deeper into the choreography, work as a team, and experience the special feeling of preparing for a final filmed result together.

It will be a meaningful journey not only for improving your dancing, but also for building performance quality and creating unforgettable memories with your team.

[TEXTURE TRAINING CLASS]

In this class, we explored how applying different levels of weight can completely transform the way we dance.

Weight control is one of the most important elements in creating variety, depth, and texture in movement. Even when the choreography is the same, the feeling, intention, and overall impression can become entirely different depending on how weight is used and controlled.

By understanding this, you can begin to approach dance more consciously — not just by copying movements, but by recognizing where your movement is going, what quality it carries, and how you want it to be expressed.
Our next class will focus on another essential point in dance: Space.

We will take time to understand how space works, how to apply it, and how it changes the quality and impact of movement.

After this, the Texture Class will continue in a more connected format with our regular choreography classes, so that we can practice choreography + texture together, not as separate ideas, but as one complete way of dancing.

This is not just an extra class — it is one of the most important trainings for anyone who wants to build a stronger foundation and dance with more clarity, intention, and depth.

If you want to truly improve the quality of your dancing, this is a class you should not miss.

This Saturday, the first Commercial class, Aliens - BTS, will begin at 4:15 PM.
The class will take place in Studio 1 downstairs at Gymbox, so please make sure to check the location.

The second class will begin at 5:45 PM and will be held in Studio 2 upstairs.

This month’s one of Monthly Training Session focuses on Dance Texture.

This class is designed to help you understand what texture in dance really means and how to express it through your body step by step.
Rather than simply memorising choreography and following movements, this session focuses on developing the quality of movement that makes the same choreography look deeper, clearer, and more refined.

Many dancers learn the pathways and structure of choreography, but do not always get the chance to clearly learn why some performances feel more detailed, atmospheric, and expressive than others.
In this session, we will break down the key elements that create that difference, including dynamics, connection, weight, responsiveness, and the texture of energy, and train them through repetition so they can become more natural in your body.

Dance Texture is not just about “dancing with feeling.”
It is a very specific area of control that shapes how movement begins, how it travels, and how it finishes.
Through this class, you will develop a more sensitive understanding of the relationship between music and movement, and learn how to create different qualities, textures, and atmospheres even within the same choreography.

Through this process, you will not only expand your expressive range, but also build a stronger foundation for performance quality, immersion, and a clearer sense of your own style.

This is not simply a one-off class.
It is a session designed to build the expressive foundation and physical awareness that you can continue to use across all choreography and dance styles.

[April Training Class: Footworks - House & Hiphop]

One of this month’s Monthly Training Session focuses on Footwork: Hiphop & House.

This session is designed to strengthen the footwork foundation that is essential in both Hiphop and House.
Beyond speed and accuracy, we will train rhythm, weight transfer, bounce, and coordination, helping your movement feel lighter, cleaner, and more stylistically grounded.

When footwork is not fully internalised, it often becomes difficult to pick up choreography clearly and execute it with confidence.

In both Hiphop and House, footwork is far more than simple stepping.
It is a core element that builds groove, connects flow, and shapes the overall quality and style of movement.

Through focused rhythm training and a variety of foundational steps, you will develop a more natural and accurate use of your feet, while learning how to connect your lower and upper body more effectively within the music.

Highly recommended for those who:

- Struggle to keep up with footwork in class
- Often get confused by steps during choreography
- Want to improve coordination between the upper and lower body

The voting list for the schedule includes recommended songs as well as the latest and most popular tracks. Your participation directly shapes the KMDC schedule, ensuring it meets your preferences.

BESPOKE PRIVATE CLASS SYSTEM

If the song you want to learn is not on the schedule, or you need to work on dance basics as part of your dance journey, simply write it down. If at least five KMDC members are interested, a small group class will be organized. This system ensures that if you desire a class, others likely do too—so suggest and create the classes you want!
